The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan started to carry out a new policy primarily aimed at increasing the popularity of the country in the world arena.
Recently Kazakhstan succeeded substantially in attracting foreign tourists. Over the past few years, several higher education institutions were opened to form highly qualified specialists. These specialists will work in the tourism industry and will primarily provide services for foreign tourists.
Kazakhstan uses different means to attract attention of the world community. In particular, for this reason it organises open international events like Asiada, which took place in 2011. Asiada made a great impression on the participants and the audience, which consisted of representatives of different countries. Such events enable the tourism industry to develop quicker, especially in the cities like Astana and Almaty.
