MMP Forum Tbilisi

This year in November, the specialized workshop in business travel – MMP Partner Workshop – was held for the first time in Georgia. The forum was organized by the MMP company.

The MMP Partner Workshop is a communication platform for professional exchange between participants in the business travel and MICE industry.

This year’s events in Warsaw, Kiev and Almaty brought together over 60 participants, more than 500 visitors and hosted buyers.

Aim of the project: To give participants the opportunity to introduce themselves, present their company to CIS agencies, establish new business relationships and conclude contracts.

Target group: Professional suppliers in the field of MICE, business travel and events who work with the corporate sector. The main task is to manage good quality outdoor events.

The MMP Partner Workshop took place in Tbilisi on 5 November 2016 in one of the biggest Georgian hotels – Holiday Inn. The hotel is part of the Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts chain. The hotel is particularly attractive because it is located in the city centre and has a modern interior, with floor-to-ceiling windows being a special feature.

The leading corporate exhibitors from Armenia and Georgia, as well as trade buyers from Ukraine and Russia who were potential buyers, attended the workshop in Georgia.

The four-day promo tour, including transfers, accommodation, dinner, fam trip, photo tour of the Georgian capital and much more, was designed and organised especially for the buyers. The workshop participants visited the Lopota Lake Resort & Spa hotel complex, picturesquely located on the shores of Lake Lopota, and tasted Georgia’s best wines at the Ambasadori Kachreti hotel.

As part of the Hosted Buyers program, the companies had over 20 face-to-face meetings with potential clients. At these meetings, they presented their services, shared their experiences and discussed current events in the field of business travel.

The great advantage of such events is the face-to-face communication. Regardless of how the meeting develops, it already has the most important foundation – the common goal. According to statistics, 95% of professionals consider face-to-face meetings to be the key to a successful business deal.

Participation in the workshop allowed exhibitors and partners to discuss partnership prospects and sign profitable contracts in a friendly atmosphere.
