MMP Forum Warsaw

In a fortnight, the forums took place in three countries: Ukraine, Poland and Kazakhstan. The MMP Forums were created for professional communication and trend-building in the MICE market. They also aim to help MICE companies and business travel market players to present new products and meet their potential clients.

The MMP Forums, organised by Business Travel Leisure, are the first and only communication platform in the MICE industry in Ukraine.

The partners of the MMP Forums include: Warsaw Convention Bureau (official partner in Poland), Re: act (creative partner), Headline (online portal), Visotsky consulting, Novy region (online media), Moi gorod (newspaper), Kazakhstan Tourist Association, Amadeus (booking system), Tucha (cloud service), Netpeak (web marketing agency), Hoteliero (club for hoteliers and restaurateurs), Globalincentive (travel agency), Premier Palace (hotel), Mir Otdykha i Biznesa (magazine), Human Capital Forum (forum), UIA (airline), BTA (Business Travel Association of Ukraine), Upodrozy.

The MMP Forum team managed to bring together exhibitors (companies offering their services) and their potential clients. The former included DMCs (Destination Management Companies), airlines, local and network hotels from different countries. The latter were represented by professional organisers of business events (representatives of MICE companies), managers of large companies involved in business travel, tour operators and travel agencies focused on international tourism.

As Natalia Polyanskaya, CEO of Forums, said, the team of MMP Forums gave their best. “This event format is much more effective than big trade fairs, as only verified real buyers were invited to the forums,” she said. A total of 60 participants from 12 countries and 500 visitors and buyers from 6 countries attended the forums.

As part of the hosted buyer programme, each visitor had over 18 one-on-one meetings with target suppliers from countries such as Italy, Germany, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Armenia, Czech Republic, Georgia, China, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovenia, Thailand, Israel, Ukraine and Poland.  In addition, the buyers received: two free nights in a 4-5 star hotel, airfare and transfer to the Forum, informal discussions at lunch and the gala dinner, a list of MMP Forum participants with detailed profiles to facilitate networking.

During the MMP Forum, speakers from different countries gave thematic workshops and presentations at the same time. Each speaker reported on the specifics and opportunities of the MICE industry in their region. Sayama MICE described business tourism in Thailand, Alpha Tours and Dusk Tourism LLC presented the event management MICE industry in the United Arab Emirates and AirBaltic described the same industry in Latvia. Elite Hotels opened new horizons in the Turkish hospitality industry. “Figaro Catering” presented its new project – “DNA of Kiev: 10 historical places for your event”. All visitors were impressed by the speech of a representative of Event Platform. He told about the company’s experience in using mobile technologies for effective event management.

Each MMP Forum ended with a gala dinner at one of the best restaurants in the city (Vino da Puri in Almaty, Fedoriv Hub in Kiev, Champion Restaurant in Warsaw). In the informal atmosphere of the dinner, visitors discussed prospects for cooperation, made business contacts and concluded contracts.

The visitors described the MMP forums as incredibly rich in meetings and new business opportunities. Aksana Mashera (Dusk Tourism LLC) shared her impressions:

“We would like to express our gratitude to the organisers of this event. As a new company on the CIS market, we were very cautious in choosing professional events of the MICE industry where we wanted to present our company. In the end, we chose MMP, and it was the right decision! We were very satisfied with the level of organisation and professionalism of the MMP managers. But our main goal was, of course, to establish new business relationships, observe the market and present our company. And we can definitely say that we achieved this goal. Participating in the Forum allowed us to prioritise our work, make useful contacts and brought us many positive feelings. From now on, we will closely follow all MMP projects and look forward to participating again!”
